This powerful all-digital feedback breakthrough achieves a higher level of audio quality than previously possible. The DAE-2 seamlessly corrects the audio output signal using closed-loop technology compensating for fluctuations within the audio system or the speaker load.

A Revolutionary Step Forward

The second generation DAE-2 PWM controller integrates a collection of breakthrough technologies, including full-bandwidth digital feedback (DF) and an advanced feed-forward digital power supply correction (DPSC) capability.

The DAE-2 includes a fully self-contained 4-channel digital amplifier controller enabling ultra-rapid system design for manufacturers of home

theater receivers, multi-room distributed audio systems, OEM and aftermarket automotive amplifiers, powered subwoofers, 2.1 multimedia systems, and powered speakers. A full function audio DSP inside the DAE-2 supports multi-band parametric equalization, volume control, tone control, loudness, and compression for each channel, with crossovers and power limiting for powered speaker applications.

The DAE-2 Features

The DAE-2 platform gives audio manufacturers an Intelligent Digital Amplifier^TM system with automatic fine tuning to compensate for power supply fluctuation allowing the use of very low-cost, unregulated power supplies. DAE-2 technology delivers a compelling cost/performance value proposition for premium analog amplifiers, while lowering overall system costs.

The D2Audio DAE-2 PWM controller is RoHS compliant, targeting A/V receivers, multi-room distribution amplifiers and automotive applications. The IC is supported with comprehensive group of amplifier reference design packages.
